Week 3
It seemed that all of the "under-dogs" lost in this epic week of the NFL.
In my opinion, the most surprising game was the Jacksonville Jaguars' win over the Indianapolis Colts. I was hoping for a game like this one because I much perfer the Jaguars over the Colts. Payton Manning took his team near the end zone. Then, Joseph Addai took the last steps for a touchdown. At that point Indianapolis was ahead 21 to 20. As the clock ticked down to its last seconds, Jacksonville kicker Josh Scobee kicked a fifty-one yard field goal to win 23 to 21. The New York Giants and the Cincinnati Bengals had a rough game also. This one even dragged into overtime. This is when the game got really good. The Giants took their drive all the way to a third down. Eli Manning threw a deep pass, which looked like it was to long, but Amani Toomer got to it just in time, and fell out of bounds. At the last few seconds the Giants kicked a 22 yard field goal to win the game 26 to 23. I was very happy with the outcome of Monday's game. The San Diego Chargers and the New York Jets played at around the same skill level throughout the course of the first quarter. Around the middle of the second quarter the Chargers started their domination over the Jets. Philip Rivers led his team to a 48 to 29 victory. The Chargers just simply out-shined the Jets. The point of this blog and Week 1
The point of this blog is to inform readers who won, who lost, and predictions for next week. This blog will be up dated each week. My blog will be focused on Monday night football and other hilight games.
This week end both excited me, and disapointed me. The Monday night game was great. The Philadelphia Eagles fought hard against the Dallas Cowboys. In the end, the Cowboys defeated the Eagles, 41 to 37. The Lions surprisingly played well. I was so excited that we were ahead of the Packers. In the last five minutes John Kitna threw three interceptions, and ruined the game for the Lions. The Colts beat the Vikings with a field goal when the clock was a three seconds left in the game.
